Interpretation Interpret the crown, root, periapical region, lamina dura and periodontal ligament space of tooth number 46 • Crown – shows radiopacity suggesting filling with 46 and below the radiopacity there is radiolucency suggesting incomplete filling • Root – there is a radiopacity in mesial and distal root which is extending till the apical 1/3rd of root suggesting incomplete filling. • Lamina dura – there is a widening of lamina dura in the mesial and the distal root • Periapical region there is a radiolucency in the mesial and the distal root with intact lamina dura suggesting apical periodontitis • Fault • Patient head position too low suggesting that he is smiling • Coronoid process is cut • Condyle is cut • Soft palate shadow is seen • The anterior region is radiopaque suggesting chin placed anteriorly.
