Read the short story “Snow” by Ann Beattie on pp. 54–56 of 30/30: Thirty American Stories from the Last Thirty Years. Note that there are two stories titled “Snow.” Think about how snow is used as a symbol in the story.

Write a 1- to 2-page essay in which you argue what snow symbolizes in Beattie’s “Snow.” Your essay should include the following:
Describe what snow symbolizes in the story. Give specific examples to support your argument, including quotes from the story. Describe how snow symbolizes something different for the man and the woman in the story. Employ APA style and formatting in your essay.
