Why or why not — be specific about what was convincing or not convincing for you. Did you learn anything new? Which section was most meaningful for you (e.g. women/power, food/advertising, gender roles, violence, etc)? Explain why.
Also answer the following questions in your paper:
What are some stories media tell about women? How do they tell them? What are some of the stories media tell us about men? How do they tell them? Should the media have a responsibility to society or should advertisers and other media sources be free to shape who “we” are? How much impact do these stories told by media have on creating and maintaining what we think about men, women, children, ourselves, society? What are the messages that undermine social change?
